WEST LONDON NETWORK/ National Youth Volunteering Programme(Strand One) Thanks to 3 year funding from vinvolved, the National Youth Volunteering Programme, West London Network will shortly be recruiting 3 dedicated & enthusiastic ‘vinvolved teams’ to develop, promote and support youth volunteering opportunities in the six boroughs of Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon & Hounslow.
The 3 vinvolved teams will comprise a Youth Volunteer Development Manager & a Youth Volunteer Advisor and each team will cover two boroughs located in Brent & Ealing; Hammersmith & Hounslow; Harrow & Hillingdon
Each vinvolved team will recruit a Youth Action Team made up of young volunteers age 16-25 who will help to develop, influence and support their activities.
They will also develop a Youth Volunteering Network for organisations, businesses, other V funded projects, etc, to enable and encourage sharing good practice and resources. Work will start early in the project, to capacity build volunteer-involving organisations to support young volunteers, in readiness for higher levels of youth volunteering opening up existing volunteer opportunities, so that they can be accessed by young people with diverse backgrounds and experiences & developing new volunteer opportunities to meet identified demand and need from young people.
